‘Lýkos Ánthrōpos’

Galloway, N.J. — Stockton University’s Theatre Program will present “Lýkos Ánthrōpos,” a new play by Bob Bartlett and directed by Aaron Moss, associate professor of Theater/Directing.

The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. April 9 and 10 and 2 p.m. April 11.

Performed outdoors at The Oasis located outside the university’s Lakeside Lodge on Laurel Lane, this haunting new work explores what it means to confront the monster within. On the last evening of each lunar month, as the moon nears full, a young man encounters a stranger. The encounter becomes a story about identity, transformation and the line between humanity and instinct.

While integrating the natural beauty of Stockton’s campus, “Lýkos Ánthrōpos” invites audiences into an immersive theatrical experience where atmosphere and environment heighten the tension of the story. The outdoor staging enhances the play’s connection to the rhythms of nature and the pull of the moon, creating a visually and emotionally compelling production.

Due to mature language and themes, this play is not suitable for children.

In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved to Stockton University’s Experimental Theatre, located below the Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $15 for the public, $12 for senior citizens, military, Stockton alumni, faculty, staff and students and youth 17 and under.
