Atlantic City, N.J. — Atlantic City casino revenues are up but profits are down. What is the economic impact of events held in the resort? What are some of the things to look forward to this fall and winter?

Industry experts will discuss those topics and more at the seventh annual Jersey Shoreview Fall Tourism and Business Panel Discussion, co-hosted by Stockton University’s Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism (LIGHT) and Visit Atlantic City.

The panel discussion will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room at Stockton Atlantic City, 3711 Atlantic Ave. The event will also be livestreamed on Zoom. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The panel will be moderated by Scott Cronick, WOND Radio host and the co-executive director of the MBCA Foundation.

Panelists will be:

• Oliver Cooke, associate professor of Economics at Stockton University and editor of the South Jersey Economic Review
• Michael Chait, the public information officer for the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority
• Jim McDonald, the general manager of Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City
• Anthony Molino, the vice president of sales for Visit Atlantic City

In addition to the panelists, Gary Musich, president and CEO of Visit Atlantic City will speak.

The panelists will give their projections for the fall 2026 tourism season and their perspectives on emerging trends affecting the gaming, hospitality and tourism industries in the region.

LIGHT provides a forum for public policy discussions on the gaming, hospitality and tourism industries in New Jersey. The institute engages Stockton University’s faculty, students and others in research, conferences and report writing to support sound decision making among policy makers and leaders in the region’s three largest industries. The institute is led by Faculty Director Brian Tyrrell, a professor of Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management Studies.
