Freedom Day Juneteenth celebration
Atlantic City, N.J. -- Stockton’s Atlantic City campus will host a Freedom Day celebration from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17 at the Kesselman Hall Garden Quad. The event will feature a keynote speech by Elaine Hawkes, the co-founder of WEHA Gospel 88.7 and 100.3 FM, which is based in Pleasantville. The event is free and food will be served.
Terron Oglesby will be the Master of Ceremonies that will feature singing by Lillian Nickens, student speakers Guivenchali Saint Jean and Jaylnne Smith and a dance performance by Leah Taylor. Donnetrice Allison and Jovin Fernandez will also have a tribute to former Stockton President Vera King Farris.
