Filmmaker David Goodman
Galloway, N.J. — Stockton University’s Communication Studies and Africana Studies programs will host filmmaker David Goodman for a Speaker Spotlight event on Thursday, March 19.
The event will take place from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. in L-112. Light refreshments will be served.
Goodman, founder of Humanity Pictures, will speak about storytelling, media and his journey in film. The program will include a screening of his work followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
The killing of George Floyd in 2020 inspired Goodman to establish Humanity Pictures, a production company focused on promoting empathy and challenging dehumanization through film. He is the director of “The Black Fatherhood: The Otherhood,” which looks to challenge negative stereotypes and highlight Black fathers as loving and engaged parents.
