Maple Syrup Workshop and Adopt-A-Tree Event
Galloway, N.J. – The Stockton University Maple Project is set to host two free family-friendly events on Saturday, Jan. 11, starting at 11 a.m. on the Galloway campus.
The first event, a workshop where attendees will learn how to identify a maple, when and how to tap, how to store sap before boiling it into a syrup and how to bottle their syrup, will take place in the Health Sciences building in Room 302. Directly following the maple workshop will allow participants to adopt and tap a tree at Maple Grove (across from parking lot 1), starting at 12 p.m.
Attendees are allowed to attend one or both of the events. The entire Stockton community – students, faculty, staff and alumni – are invited to attend and encouraged to email the Maple Project to reserve a spot.
