Galloway, N.J. – In 1973, students of the then-up-and-coming Stockton State College held the first annual Lake Fred Folks & Crafts Fair, where the community enjoyed a three-day festival full of music, workshops, craft displays and even square-dancing.

Over fifty years later, Stockton’s on-campus radio station, 91.7 WLFR, wants to recreate the magic of the first festival by reviving it for an evening in the Campus Center Coffeehouse on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

From 4 to 9 p.m., the Folk Fest will include live performances from local bands, food and vendors. The Richard E. Bjork Library’s Special Collections office will also showcase archived materials from the 1970s.

This initiative is being spearheaded by student Paige Cripps and Distinguished Professor Tom Kinsella in conjunction with the South Jersey Culture & History Center
