International Education Week
Galloway, N.J. – The Office of Global Engagement (OGE) will celebrate International Education Week from Monday, Nov. 18, to Friday, Nov. 22.
The theme for this year’s IEW is “Embracing Global Narratives.” The week’s programs are featured by the OGE, School of Arts & Humanities, Career Education & Development (CED), Financial Aid, Production Services and the Multicultural Center.
Here’s a full list of programming:
“Responsible Traveler” with Gilman Scholar Abu Shahariah
Monday, Nov.18 | 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Multicultural Center
Students can learn about studying abroad, financial aid, cultural expectations from a fellow student, best practices for travel and engage in traditional Japanese art.
Pre-Departure Orientations (Session #1 of 3)
Tuesday, Nov. 19 | 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., L-115
An information session for students studying abroad in Spring 2025. Sponsored by the OGE.
Financial Aid’s Postcard Program
Tuesday, Nov. 19 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., C-D Atrium
Students can drop by this tabling opportunity to learn about how they can use Financial Aid to study abroad or to send postcards to someone currently abroad.
“Global Voices: Languages of Our Community”
Wednesday, Nov. 20 | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Campus Center Coffee House and Meeting Room 3
Come share your language and culture with the campus community. This program is organized by OGE’s Peer Advisor, Khrystyna Svystovych, and co-sponsored with the School of Arts and Humanities.
“Leverage Your Bilingual Skills in Your Job Search”
Wednesday, Nov. 20 | 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., CED’s Career Readiness Studio
This program is part of CED’s “Working Wednesdays” series with employer Sherwin Williams.
