Yom HaShoah Memorial Service
Galloway, N.J. — The Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center at Stockton University will host a Yom HaShoah program in April titled “Unto Every Person There is a Name – Remembering the 6 million Jewish victims of the Shoah.”
The free program will be held in person for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic at Beth El Synagogue, 500 N. Jerome Ave., in Margate at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18.
The commemoration will feature a talk by daughter of Holocaust survivors Molly Golubcow, the author of the book “The Hotel on St. James Place: Growing up in Atlantic City between the Boardwalk and the Holocaust.” Her parents, Harry and Sonia Golubcow, were Holocaust survivors from Poland who moved to South Jersey and bought the Seacrest Hotel in Atlantic City.
The free, community-wide commemoration will also highlight local Holocaust survivors and will include a memorial service. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
