Galloway, N.J. — The Stockton University Foundation will host its annual Golf Classic on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, located at 401 S. New York Road, Galloway.

Community members, friends, Stockton alumni and others are encouraged to support the event, which supports Stockton students facing challenges in completing their degrees in a variety of meaningful ways.

The event features a scramble format, making it a fun time for seasoned pros and novice golfers alike. The tournament begins at 11 a.m. with registration and lunch, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The day will conclude with dinner and the awards ceremony starting at 5:30 p.m., during which attendees will have a chance to meet Stockton President Joe Bertolino.

Tickets are $250 per individual golfer or $1,000 per foursome. Young alumni — those who graduated from Stockton in the last 10 years — can receive a $50 discount on individual tickets.

Among the tournament’s highlights are a putting contest to win prizes and three hole-in-one challenges where golfers can win prizes like $10,000 in cash, a weeklong resort getaway or golf clubs. There will also be a longest drive and closest to the pin challenge, plus a 50/50 raffle and a prize grab sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Proceeds from the Golf Classic support the Stockton University Foundation. Tim Glenn of Glenn Insurance, who has sponsored and participated in the event since 2006, said, "It's an excellent opportunity to enjoy the links, network, and, most importantly, support scholarships and other initiatives that benefit Stockton students. The entire community should be here supporting this event."
