Unpacking Putin's War

Galloway, N.J. – “Unpacking Putin’s War: A Panel Discussion” will bring together Stockton University experts for an overview of Russia’s armed conflict in Ukraine along with the response of the international community.

The virtual event is scheduled via Zoom for 4:30 p.m. March 10. It is a special Globalization Lecture sponsored by the Office of Global Engagement at Stockton and is open to students, faculty, staff and community.

Panel members will include Mariam Majd, Assistant Professor of Economics, Raz Segal Associate Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies,  and Tina Zappile, Associate Professor of Political Science. Lauren Balasco, Assistant Professor of Political Science, will moderate the panel.

On Feb. 24, Russia launched a large-scale military invasion of Ukraine, marking a major escalation to a conflict that began in 2014.  The invasion is considered one of the largest military attacks in Europe since World War II.
