The First Amendment in the College Classroom
Galloway, N.J. - A virtual presentation by attorney Frank Corrado, “Back to Basics: The First Amendment in the College Classroom,” will take place on Wednesday, March 2nd during the 2:10 p.m. class module, and will focus on a variety of First Amendment issues, including hate speech and “cancel culture.” The presentation will begin at 2:15 p.m. and end by 3:15 p.m.
Frank Corrado is the past president of the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey. His legal practice concentrates on civil rights and constitutional law, with a special emphasis on the First Amendment. He has taught courses on the First Amendment at Rutgers Law School, served as Stockton’s Visiting Specialist in Constitutional Law from 1998-2001 and subsequently taught a First Amendment course on campus.
Professors who are viewing the presentation on campus with a class, only the instructor needs to register. However, if you are assigning it to students who will view the presentation on their own, each student will each need to register in advance. We will record the event and it will be available subsequently to those who register.
