Hughes Center Debate

Galloway, N.J. - The William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton University and League of Women Voters of Atlantic County will co-sponsor primary election debates for the contested county clerk and state Senate races in Atlantic County.

The groups will hold an online debate between Democratic primary candidates for Atlantic County clerk at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27. The two candidates, Egg Harbor City Mayor Lisa Jiampetti and activist Mico Lucide have agreed to participate.

Sharon Steinhorn, president of the Western Monmouth League of Women Voters, will moderate the one-hour debate.

The league and Hughes Center have also invited Republican candidates for State Senate in Legislative District 2 Vincent Polistina and Seth Grossman to a virtual debate at 7 p.m. May 11. It will be moderated by John Froonjian, Hughes Center executive director.
