World War II Memoir

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton Adjunct Professor of Gerontology Gina Maguire will share her grandfather Nick Venturella’s life story from 1-2 p.m. Nov. 13 at Stockton University’s Kramer Hall, 30 Front St., in Hammonton. Venturella was a Greatest Generation member and World War II veteran who helped liberate a concentration camp during his time in the military.

During Venturella’s last years, he shared his past with Maguire, and entrusted her with his photos, souvenirs, and letters. Maguire compiled these materials into a memoir for Venturella –  “It Was Fate: A War, A Massacre, A Romance; The World War II Memoir – which will be available for purchase at the event.

This event is free and open to the public as part of the Stockton Center on Successful Aging’s “Second Wednesdays” program. Light refreshments will be provided.
