Dance Company Residency "Talk Back" and Performance
Galloway, N.J. – Tiffany Mills Company (TMC) will be the featured guest at this year’s annual Stockton Dance Company Residency performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 in Stockton’s Performing Arts Center (PAC).
TMC is a nationally recognized modern dance company based out of New York City, and will be on campus from Sept. 23 to Oct. 4.
The residency’s show will include excerpts from Blue Room, a dance which uses an eclectic array of music from Sleater-Kinney to the Beastie Boys, and excerpts-in-process from Endless Shapes, Mills’ newest dance. In Blue Room, choreographer and company director Tiffany Mills and her dancers explore, “how we connect, if we connect, the inner world that isolates, the outer world that is full of contradictions and the consequences of our actions,” according to Mills.
Tickets for the performance will be $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students with valid ID. Purchase tickets on the PAC website.
As part of the residency, there will also be a free, open to the public “talk back” session with the company at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 in the H104 dance studio.
The Dance Company Residency, which is sponsored by Stockton’s Presidential Initiative Funds and the Division of Academic Affairs, has become one of Stockton’s exciting and much anticipated events. Through this residency, world-renowned dancers teach classes and work with Stockton students and the surrounding community.
