Corn Husk Doll Workshop
Galloway, N.J. – Learn how to make a corn husk doll from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Stockton University’s Kramer Hall, 30 Front St., in Hammonton. The event is part of the Stockton Center on Successful Aging’s “Second Wednesdays” program.
Originally a Native American toy, corn husk dolls are made from the dried leaves or “husk” of a corn cob. Children in both Native American and Colonial American families used husks to fashion dolls.
This event is free and open to all ages. Register at stockton.edu/SCOSA or by calling 609-626-3591.
