'Boardwalk Empire & Beyond'

Galloway, N.J. – Learn about the unique history of Atlantic City and how it has shaped our modern era at a special lecture series and discussion in July at Stockton University Atlantic City, 3711 Atlantic Ave., titled “Boardwalk Empire & Beyond.”

The lectures will be held from 6 - 7:30 p.m. and include time for audience questions. The topics are:

HunterJuly 16:

“The Northside and Social Movements” with Ralph Hunter, founder & president of the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey.

 

PerezJuly 23:

“Tourism and Entertainment” with Heather Perez, Stockton University Special Collections Librarian and Atlantic City historian.

 

JohnsonJuly 30: 

“Power and Politics” with Nelson Johnson, retired Atlantic County Superior Court Judge and author of “Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City.”
