'America and the Holocaust’ Seminar

Manahawkin, N.J. – The indifference of American opinion regarding the Holocaust as it was occurring will be the theme of a seminar at 1 p.m. Apr. 5 at Stockton University at Manahawkin, 712 East Bay Ave.

The seminar will be led by Steven Marcus, coordinator of the Holocaust and Genocide dual credit consortium and professor of related studies at Stockton..

During the 1930s and 40s, Adolf Hitler of Germany attempted to annihilate all Jewish people, spurring what is known as the Holocaust. When other surrounding countries failed to save the Jews, many individuals looked to the United States for help. While there were many Americans who felt obligated to assist, there were others who did not.  During his seminar, Marcus will explore America’s “mixed record.”

Registration is required. Call 609-626-3883.
