Carol Waties, Director of the New Jersey Small Business Development Center and Adjunct Professor at Stockton University
Carol Waties is a Business and Community Development Professional recognized for creating successful, innovative, practical and transformative solutions, assisting, educating, training and advancing individuals, groups, organizations, neighborhoods and communities.
Director of the NJSBDC at Stockton University since May 2016, Ms. Waties provides small business counseling and management consulting to small business owners. She also assists them in business creation, marketing, growth, continuity and financial plans and strategies, guiding them in successfully obtaining loans and other capital investment. In addition to oversight and management of the Center’s operations, staff and consultants, she provides training and technical assistance on topics including starting a small business, building a winning business plan, marketing, certifications, procurement and government contracts.
She is a fervent believer in the power of entrepreneurship and the impact it can and does have on communities and neighborhoods as well as families and the creation of intergenerational wealth.
