Dance

Casey VanNewenhizen grew up training in classical ballet in South Jersey. Knowing that anatomy and movement were intriguing to her, she went on to study Dance Pre-Movement Science at Stockton University. At Stockton, Casey continued to train in dance and became very involved on campus as an Orientation Leader, Admissions Ambassador, and Dance Club President. After graduating from Stockton in 2018, Casey became certified in Pilates through the Drexel Pilates Training Program. Casey is now a dance educator at Flair Dance Company in Collingswood, NJ, and a Pilates instructor at Pilates Core Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. Through teaching, she is able to help her clients and students understand their bodies to move safely and with confidence. Casey also enjoys presenting choreography and performing in the Philadelphia area.

"The Stockton Dance Program changed my life. It gave me a well-rounded dance education that truly prepared me for the dance world outside of school. The large amount of performance opportunities, chances to work with guest artists during residencies, and amazing training pushed me to become a better dancer and person. My professors were instrumental in making sure I felt supported and helped me find opportunities to move in the best direction for me. It showed me there was so much more than the dance world I knew growing up and that I could have a career in this field."
