Why did you choose Stockton University?

I chose Stockton because I wanted a liberal arts education. The liberal arts curriculum taught me general knowledge connected with my major as well as in-depth academics required for my field.

Why did you choose your major?

I chose Public Health because my goal is to protect and improve the health of all people in all communities using community health education.

What have you gotten out of your academic program so far?

Stockton taught me that with a Public Health education, I can make lasting improvements on society’s health. Public health constantly evolves, and it is up to public health educators to better conditions and behaviors harming human health.

How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your field and studies?

When we transitioned to online classes, I jumped at the at-home internship opportunity with Bayada Home Health Care. The internship was an on-call position taking calls after hours when the office was closed. My internship led to a job opportunity where I am now an on-call manager for three Bayada offices.

How is Stockton preparing you for the next chapter of your life?

Stockton taught me about diversity, personal development and how to invest in my future. I am constantly evolving to become the best individual I can be. I am forever thankful for my education I earned at Stockton University.

What are your career goals?

I would like to improve the overall health of individuals by promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing chronic illness and eradicating infectious disease. My goal is to become a Public Health Community Health Education Specialist and inspire all people to excel in their health.

Tell us about your experience as a representative for the HERO Campaign.

The HERO Campaign increased my appreciation for social responsibility. Driving under intoxication is a chronic public health issue and I admire the HERO Campaign because I support safe driving. I promote community health while advancing my career.
