will be available at the “2nd Exhibition Opening,” March 26th, at the Noyes Museum,
5:00-7:30pm. Included is the full text of the exhibition, images of the artwork, plus
additional historical commentary and a sampling of the Pine Barrens lore collected
by anthropologist Herbert Halpert in the 1930s-40s: tales of Sammy Buck Giberson,
the Pine Barrens musician who met (and beat) the devil in a fiddle contest; Peggy
Clevenger, the Witch of the Pines; and Jerry Munyhun, the Wizard of the Pines.
