A Workshop for Middle, High School, and College Educators
This seminar will provide new resource materials and methodologies, designed by Yad Vashem for Holocaust and Genocide education to assist in the implementation of the NJ Holocaust and Genocide Mandate. The workshop will have multi-media curriculum, connecting lessons focusing on prejudice reduction, cultural diversity, character education, genocide, and discrimination. This curriculum encourages classroom discussions and knowledge relevant to contemporary issues of prejudice. Some areas of discussion will include: Teaching about the Holocaust in Today's Classrooms, Daily Life in the Warsaw Ghetto, and The Fate of Families as Told by Objects.
