Translating Your Experience
featuring Dr. Terri Carr, Director of Career Education and Development

Join us for an interactive session designed to make the most of your study abroad experience in the job search. We’ll address how to leverage your unique experience, including a look at eye-catching resume options and impactful ways to showcase the challenges you overcame in order to prepare for job interviews.
In this session, you will:
- learn how to effectively present your global and glocal program on your resume and in the job search
- engage in activities to help you articulate your experience
- develop resume bullets that communicate transferable career skills

Unpacking Your Study Abroad Experience(s)
Wednesday, April 28, 2021, 1-2pm
Join other study abroad alum from all over New Jersey to learn valuable ways and resources to “unpack” your study abroad experience.
This session will be focused on supporting students who studied abroad during the COVID pandemic.
Our three panelists will prompt you with questions and provide you with helpful resources to guide you to better understand how the experience shaped you and will continue to shape your future opportunities.

Claim the Global Studies Minor!
Your education abroad experience fits perfectly in the Global Studies Minor curriculum and requirement.
Global Studies Minor was approved during 2010-2011 academic year. It consists of 20 credits. All students must take the entry level course GSS 2606 Introduction to Global Studies and capstone course GIS 4658 Global Challenges and Solutions and one course from each of the three categories Global Issues/ Area Studies; History and Culture; Political Economy and Contemporary Issues. Out of 20 credits required, at least 2 courses must be at the 3000 level. Students must demonstrate proficiency in another language or an in-depth knowledge of another culture.

Global Engagement Ambassadors Program
The Global Engagement Ambassadors Program is designed to inspire a deeper appreciation of global cultures by pairing Stockton students with international student.
