Golden Ospreys

Stockton's Golden Ospreys is a special group reserved for alumni who have reached the milestone 50th anniversary of their graduation, celebrating their legacy and lasting impact on the university. Their experiences as some of Stockton’s earliest students helped shape the university for future generations.
Commencement Tradition: Golden Ospreys Lead the Way
Each year, the incoming class of Golden Ospreys proudly leads Commencement, celebrating the newest graduates while reflecting on their own milestone 50 years ago. This tradition honors their lifelong connection to Stockton and recognizes their ongoing role in shaping its future.

Taking the risk of attending a college that didn't yet have a brick-and-mortar campus turned out to be a very wise decision. I'm feeling grateful to have survived 50 years of life's challenges, transforming from a Woodstock flower child Jersey girl to a Golden Osprey.

Upcoming Events

As a Golden Osprey, we look forward to welcoming you back to campus each year. There are two annual opportunities created just for you:
University Weekend – October 8-11, 2026
During the weekend, this year's class of Golden Ospreys (Class of 1977) will meet for dinner and participate in an induction ceremony.
Golden Ospreys Reunion – May 2027
The Stockton Classes of 1972–1977 are invited to return to campus and celebrate with Alumni Relations on the Saturday following the Commencement ceremony.
