General Information

The Federal Work Study (FWS) program is a need-based, federally funded work program administered by the Office of Financial Aid. The program allows students to work part-time on or off campus to help offset their educational expenses.

Recruiting Stockton Students for Federal Work Study Positions

All Federal Work Study positions on and off-campus are centralized in Stockton's Handshake platform.  This is the system you will use to post and promote your FWS positions, and review student applicants.  All job descriptions for your FWS positions MUST have already been approved by the Office of Financial Aid.

If you are a supervisor in charge of recruiting and hiring Federal Work Study students for you office, please utilize the Handshake resources below:

New to Handshake?

Your department already has an employer account in the Handshake.  However, user accounts for supervisors were not preloaded.  If you've never used Handshake before, you need to create your user account, and then properly link it to your department's employer account.

Career Education and Development has created a step-by-step training for you that easily walks you through this process.
