Entrepreneurship Certificate

Learn it. Build it. Launch it.

A blue Stockton University promotional flyer featuring two classroom photos of students collaborating with instructors. The text highlights a new Entrepreneurship Certificate with four courses, mentorship, real startup experience, and open enrollment for all majors.

The Entrepreneurship Certificate at Stockton University gives students from any major the opportunity to develop the skills needed to turn ideas into action. No business background is required. Through four courses, students can explore startup development, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and small business management while gaining practical experience and mentorship.

The certificate is open to students in all majors and can complement a wide range of career goals, whether you want to launch your own business, develop a new product or bring entrepreneurial thinking to an existing organization.

Certificate Coursework

Begin with ENTR 3220 and ENTR 3225  then complete two electives:

  • ENTR 3330: Entrepreneurial Finance | 4 credits
  • ENTR 4225: Global Entrepreneurship | 4 credits
  • MKTG 2110: Principles of Marketing | 4 credits
  • GSS 3124: Entrepreneurial Thinking | 4 credits
  • MGMT 3175: Small Business Management | 4 credits

Students who are close to graduation may be able to complete the certificate on an accelerated schedule. For example, seniors may request permission to take ENTR 3220 and ENTR 3225 during the same fall semester, followed by two electives in the spring. This option requires approval to waive the prerequisite.

Student Testimonials

My understanding of entrepreneurship has grown so much. I came in thinking it was mainly about running a business, but there is much more to it. I now feel prepared and confident to step into the business world.
