Why did you choose Stockton University?

I chose Stockton because a few of my family members also went to Stockton. They enjoyed their experience so much they recommended Stockton to me.

How did you choose your major?

I chose my major because it has good career opportunities and flexibility. I hope to use my major to go into the field of cybersecurity because it's an interesting field with fulfilling work.

What internship opportunities have you had at Stockton?

I interned at AtlantiCare one summer through Stockton's Live Work Learn program. At AtlantiCare, I worked with their IT team to support and maintain the technology and software used in the hospital. I used that experience to get another internship at a bigger company the following year. During that internship I served as a cybersecurity analyst and worked with their cybersecurity team to ensure the company was safe and secure. I was able to gain valuable hands-on experience from these two internships that exposed me to what a career in these fields would be like.

What clubs and activities are you involved with at Stockton?

I enjoy intramural sports because they are a good way to stay active, have fun and meet new people. I help out with some sports and play intramural flag football, soccer and volleyball, but there are a lot of other sports available.

What are your career goals?

I want to work in the cybersecurity field, particularly at a big tech company like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon or Google.

What advice do you have for students thinking about attending Stockton?

Join clubs, attend events, get internship/work experience in your desired career field, and don’t be afraid to meet new people.
