About Lines on the Pines

The first “Lines on the Pines” was held in 2005 at the old Sweetwater Casino. Linda and Jim Stanton, the founders, envisioned a small book-signing event, where attendees could meet local authors and chat about the Pine Barrens. A crush of people attended that first “Lines,” and Sweetwater ran out of food and drink.

The popularity of the event was evident, so what began as a one-time get-together has developed into an annual event. As Linda has said, “Lines on the Pines” has become the harbinger of spring for New Jersey Pine Barrens enthusiasts!

Every spring, on the second Sunday in March, the focus is all things Pine Barrens. At this premiere networking event, authors, historians, artists, craftspeople, educators, and entertainers gather to share their love for the Pine Barrens. Participants have the opportunity to showcase and sell their art, books, and crafts to the public at large. If you are new to the area or want to share your love of the Pines with likeminded souls, stop by. You will learn a great deal about the Pines, meet many interesting people, and enjoy the rich culture and history of the Pines.

“Lines on the Pines” is free and open to the public. It is held from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM in the Campus Center at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey. This year it will be held on March 10, 2024.  “Lines” has a robust program for KIDS, so bring the whole family. An after-hours meet and greet event (reservations only) is offered at the end of the day.

The event is sponsored by “It’s a Sign of the Pines,” a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of the State of New Jersey. All donations are tax deductible.
