Strategic Planning & Program Capstone

The course emphasizes collaborative learning, peer review, and practical application. Rather than relying primarily on instructor feedback, students will actively engage in structured peer evaluation processes throughout the course, providing strategic recommendations and constructive feedback to classmates. This approach mirrors contemporary strategic planning environments where leaders routinely present plans to boards, executives, and stakeholders for critique and refinement. The course culminates in the development and presentation of a comprehensive strategic plan suitable for organizational leadership review.
The course is organized around the development of a strategic plan for an existing organization or business venture selected by the student. Students will progress through a series of strategic planning milestones while receiving structured feedback from peers. Two required synchronous meetings provide opportunities for collaborative planning, peer review, and final presentations.
