Please join us to tell the stories of our South Jersey Holocaust Survivors!

Dear Generations after the Shoah, whose parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents were Holocaust Survivors (and other friends),

We are pleased to inform you that the Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center at Stockton University is embarking on a project to create an archive and permanent exhibition documenting the Holocaust Survivors who settled in our communities in Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland Counties.

Our goal is to have a computer station and large display screen in the Holocaust Resource Center where students, faculty, family members, and others in the community can gain information about our Holocaust Survivors who lived in Southern New Jersey. As the years go on, this will become a valuable resource, not only for educational purposes, but also for future generations to learn about their ancestors, l’dor v’dor – from generation to generation.

We expect the project to take about three years to complete; however, we hope to have portions available as early as late summer 2020. The research and work will be done by Stockton students under the direction of the staff of the Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center and Holocaust and Genocide Studies faculty.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Only you can provide us with information to document your families. We are the last generation that has had personal relationships with the survivors. It is our duty to preserve, record, and tell their life stories, for both today’s and future generations.

Please see our contribution form for more information about what material we are collecting and how we will do it.
