Faculty-Led Study Tour to the United Nations for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony in New York City

Date: Monday, January 27, 2025
Time and Schedule (subject to change):

  • 6:45 am | Departure to New York City via GSP from Stockton University's Campus Center in Galloway (101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, NJ, 08205) *Please pack breakfast to bring on the chartered deluxe motor coach*
  • 10:00 am | Arrive at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City
  • 11:00 am | International Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony Begins
  • 1:00 pm | Lunch at the United Nations Visitor's Cafe *Expect higher lunch prices in NYC (Estimated $15.00 pp)*
  • 2:00 pm | CHOICE OF:
    • Standard Guided Tour of the United Nations Headquarters (40 spots available)
      or
    • Lecture and Discussion with Dr. Anne Knowles and Maja Kruse, "Mapping the Holocaust" (17 spots available)
      PLEASE INDICATE YOUR CHOICE DURING REGISTRATION
  • Both options include tours of the new Holocaust remembrance exhibits at the UN: "A Commitment to Truth" & "Lest We Forget"
  • 4:00 pm | Departure for Stockton University's Campus Center
  • 5:00 pm | Stop at the Jon Bon Jovi Rest Area (formerly Cheesequake Rest Stop) for Dinner.
    Options include Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, Auntie Anne's, Popeye's, Burger King, and Starbucks. 
    *Individual payment for food required*
  • 7:00 pm | Arrival at Stockton University's Campus Center

Cost: Round trip bus to the United Nations Headquarters with private standard guided tour or lecture

  • Students (ages 18+): $15.00
  • Educators (grades k-12 & higher education): $30.00
  • Guests of Educators/Community Members: $60.00

Your reservation is only confirmed once payment is received. Acceptable payments include cash, check, or money order. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Sara & Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center and sent to: Holocaust Resource Center - Stockton University, 101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, NJ 08205. Cash must be hand-delivered to the Sara and Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center (L-104).
