Interlibrary Loan Basics

  1. Register to Use ILL

    1. The first time you access the Interlibrary Loan system, you will be presented with a registration form
    2. Add your phone number, Status (student, staff), Program, and submit 
    3. Ready to use! 
  2. Request an item through FlashFind

    1. When a FlashFind search result doesn’t give you full-text access, click on the Request from Interlibrary Loan link
    2. Submit your request, and you’ll get updates in your Stockton email
    3. Some of our databases will also provide this link if the full text isn't available
  3. Or, Enter a Request Manually

    1. Click on the New Requests menu button
    2. Select what kind of resource you are looking for
    3. Fill out the form with as much information as you can
    4. Click Submit when finished
  4. Retrieve Your Items

    1. You will get an email when your items are ready
    2. Download PDFs from the ILL portal  OR
    3. Pick up physical books at the Library service desk

Follow these simple rules to keep everything running smoothly! 
  • Requests must follow U.S. copyright laws and limits.
  • You can request as many items as you need. 
  • For undergraduate students, we will cover up to $25 in copyright fees or royalties.
  • For our faculty and grad students, we will cover up to $50.
  • Check items for damage when picking them up and report any issues immediately.
  • Lost or damaged items may result in charges.
  • Service may not be used to obtain books for reserve or an entire semester.
