Indices of Morone Saxatilis Catch Based on Semi-Standardized Local Research Efforts: From the Lens of Environmental Sustainability Education

The computational thinking to learn sustainability learning progression aided in the development of a striper (Morone saxatilis) fishing project performed by students at Stockton University. Students and researchers used computational thinking at a simple level to address the intersections of sustainability spheres (environmental and social) and problem-solving concepts (regulation, education and research).

Engaging youth in the sustainable development movement of the current day.  Dr. De Feis authored a chapter, entitled "Business Youth for Engaged Sustainability to Achieve the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," Handbook of Engaged Sustainability, Springer Publishing in 2018.  Dr. De Feis presented his work Dr. Albano's GSS 2606 (Global Studies) in Fall 2023.

Finances & Future Health: Understanding Barriers to First-Generation Student Utilization of Federal Work Study

A major social determinant of health is education, and students who are first-generation and/or are coming from families with lower financial literacy often have difficulty accessing and successfully completing higher education. This mixed-method study explored barriers, beliefs, and the lived experiences of first-generation EOF students at Stockton University, Rutgers University-Camden, and Rowan University regarding barriers that these students face in accessing financial literacy and federal work study in their undergraduate education.

Augusta Savage:  A Three-Dimensional Monument

The life story of Augusta Savage -- a sculptor, art teacher, and activist in New York City during the Harlem Renaissance (1918-1937) --reveals how one woman overcame race discrimination and gender bias to pursue important developments in African American art and, perhaps more importantly, to provide mentorship for a generation of Black artists, including Charles Alston, Jacob Lawrence, and Gwendolyn Knight.
