Birth Equity and Beyond will be an informative and empowering full-day conference focused on racial equity in maternal and child health outcomes in South Jersey. We will explore strategies and initiatives aimed at promoting equity in the birthing process, early childhood and parenting. Topics will include reproductive justice, behavioral health, grief and loss, and the role of the child welfare system. This event will feature expert speakers, panel discussions, and resource tables designed to educate and inspire attendees. Whether you are a healthcare professional, a family support professional, a parent or parent-to-be, or simply interested in learning more about this important topic, this event is for you. Let's come together to create a more equitable and inclusive experience for families in Southern NJ.

Continuing Education:
The Birth Equity & Beyond 2024 Conference will offer 5.0 Cultural Competence or Clinical Continuing Education (CE) for Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Professional Counselors. This event is approved for NJDCF Training Hours by the NJ DCF Office of Training and Professional Development.
Stockton University is authorized to offer continuing education credits for social workers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, and Massachusetts for licensure and certification renewal by the licensure boards in those states. Parking is available in the Atlantic City Parking Garage. Please take a ticket upon entry to the parking garage and a Stockton staff member will validate your parking ticket.
Due to construction, the Atlantic Ave entrance to the John F. Scarpa Academic Center will not be accessible. Please use the Trenton Ave entrance to access the parking lot.

PSI-NJ is the New Jersey state chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI), the world’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to helping those suffering from perinatal mood disorders, the most common complication of childbirth.
Our mission is to promote awareness, education, prevention, and treatment of perinatal mental health issues affecting mothers, their families, and support systems in all areas of New Jersey.
The Cooperative is the state-licensed maternal and child health consortium which coordinates and supports maternal-fetal and newborn care throughout the seven-county region of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties.
Through the collaborative efforts of hospitals, public health agencies, universities, healthcare professionals and consumers, the Cooperative's activities are directed toward improving the health of individuals and birthing people, infants and families and decreasing perinatal mortality and morbidity.
The Child Welfare Education Institute (CWEI) at Stockton University is facilitating logistics for this event. The mission of CWEI is to support the ongoing transformation of the public child welfare system through social work education and professional training. Our vision is safety and well-being for the children and families of New Jersey.
