Galloway Township, N.J. Best known for Anne Frank Remembered, Schindler, and a four-part series on terrorism for Discovery Europe, long time friend of Stockton College, Jon Blair, garnered an Emmy for his latest Discovery Channel series, Reporters at War. The 26th Annual News and Documentary Awards Ceremony was held on Monday, September 19 in New York City.
During the 2003 spring semester, Blair taught Researching for the Real World at the college, and his four-part series, The Age of Terror, was used in the September 11 curriculum developed by faculty here. He also served as keynote speaker at the fall, 2002 commencement ceremony held on the Pomona campus.
He received two international Emmys for the British hit comedy series, Spitting Image, a Grammy for best concept video for Genesis, Land of Confusion, and is the author of The Biko Inquest. He also wrote, produced, and directed a documentary about the American West which was narrated by both Robert Redford and Glenn Close.
Blair was born in South Africa and has been a war correspondent in the Middle East, the Far East and Africa.
