Galloway Twp., NJ WLFR, official longtime radio station of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, is back on the airwaves as of today, Thursday, April 7, 2005.
WLFR comes back to 91.7 FM after being off the air since
2004, when construction forced the stations tower to be dismantled. They turned
to web-casting via the internet. The station will now broadcast from a temporary
tower until the permanent one is constructed.
The Stockton station has been filling the airwaves with
quality programming for decades, and features various music and talk programs,
as well as coverage of Stockton Ospreys Sports events.
During its year web-casting, the station picked up a solid
following nationwide and will therefore continue to broadcast online as well at
www.wlfr.fm.
For more information on 91.7 WLFR, contact Gregory Adamo, Associate Professor
of Communications and faculty advisor to the college run station, at 609-626-5511.
