Day Long Event Highlights Womens History Month Activities

Galloway Twp., NJ The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey has planned its annual Womens Day of Wellness, Wednesday, March 30, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Upper G Wing Lounge on the Pomona campus.

 

The event, a highlight of the Colleges schedule of Womens History Month activities, features entertainment, food, door prizes, vendors and of course a variety of health screenings and health services.

 

Lunch will be served from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and free pizza will be available at 4 p.m.

 

Entertainment scheduled for the day includes the Stockton All-Starz Dance Troupe, the Stockton Gospel Choir, jazz artist Susan Goodman Jackson, Tarot card readings and the Stockton Dance Club. Among the door prizes to be given away are massage packages, chiropractic care, a Mary Kay gift basket and a free facial treatment.

 

Screenings will be available for blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose, and free HIV testing. There will be vendors representing chiropractic services, Tai Chi, skin care, drug and alcohol treatment centers, massage therapy, nutritionist services, fitness services, domestic violence prevention, cancer support, Reiki and His and Her Healthy Options, among many others.

 

The event is sponsored by the Stockton Wellness Center in collaboration with the Office of Housing, Student Development and the Lolla Chiropractic Center.
