There will also be remarks by Stockton President Herman J. Saatkamp, Jr. Also participating will be members of the Stockton Newman Club, the Sweet Inspirations musical group and the Assumption Parish Knights of Columbus and members will assist in serving refreshments after the event.

The event will take place 12 noon, Saturday April 29, 2006, at the Catholic Campus Ministry Center, Highway 575 (Pomona Road) across from the Free-To-Be Day Care Center.

The 34 x 22 bas relief, sculpted of poly resin by Linda M. Lauria, was a design chosen from images selected by the sculptor and Campus Chaplain Father Jeff Burton.

This bas-relief presents the ultimate message that Mother Teresa portrayed: Prayer, said Lauria. Mother Teresa wove her life around daily prayer and taught people that prayer was the intimate contact with Jesus. This sculpture is designed to draw the viewer in with this powerful image and allow the viewer to feel Mother Teresas love and joy of prayer.
