Israeli author will present award-winning hit, Wisdom of the Pretzel

Galloway Township, NJ Israeli author, Ilan Heitner, will visit The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey on Monday, December 5, 2005, 8:00 p.m. in Room C-134 to present his award-winning film, Wisdom of the Pretzel.

 

Heitner, a former brokerage firm analyst, wrote Wisdom of the Pretzel out of boredom, never imagining that it would become a best seller in Israel. After the success of the book, Heitner attended NYUs film school and managed to turn his novel into a cult film blockbuster. The film is 93:00 minutes long and includes English subtitles. It is said to be a true portrayal of life in Israel beyond the conflict, beautifully reflecting the close relationships Israelis build with one another.

 

The event is sponsored by the Jewish Student Union/Hillel, the Campus Religious Council, the Office of Housing and Residential Life, and the International Student Organization.
