Stockton, County, Tech Center to Partner with Economic Development Authority and Consortium on Tech Park

WHO: Representatives from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, the William J. Hughes Technical Center, the New Jersey Aviation Research and Technology Consortium, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson

 

WHAT: Will formally announce a cooperative effort to work toward the development of a state-of-the-art Aviation Research and Technology Park on land to be made available at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Pomona, New Jersey.

 

WHEN: 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2005

WHERE: The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Sports Center, Room 205, Pomona, New Jersey

 

BACKGROUND: Private sector agencies; Federal Aviation Administration, state and county government officials; local industry; and academic institutions have been working in collaboration for the development of an Aviation Research and Technology Park. This announcement is intended to encourage public awareness of the project, discussion of this effort, as well as support and participation by public and private entities. Current members of the working group will provide a status report and outline future steps.

Among those taking part in the events will be David Sparenberg of Titan Corp., who will make introductory remarks, Dr. Herman J. Saatkamp, Jr., Stockton College President who will discuss the Colleges role, Dr. Anne Harland of the FAA Tech Center who will talk about her organizations role and a vision for the facility, and Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson on the impact of the project on the County.
