JANUARY 30, 2006, POMONA, NJ --- Considered one of the worlds most gifted performers, Roberta Flack will take the stage for the Richard Stockton College Foundations 26th Annual Spring Scholarship Benefit Gala on April 8th in the Grand Ballroom at Trump Taj Mahal. Stocktons Spring Scholarship Benefit is an evening of fine dining, live and silent auctions and spectacular entertainment.  Proceeds from the event benefit deserving students through the scholarship fund at the College.

Roberta Flack is one of the worlds most talented musical icons. She is a combination of ability, heart, hard work and determination, which drives her to ever-greater triumphs. Her debut album, First Take, included the #1 hit, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Clint Eastwood included the song on the soundtrack for the movie, Play Misty For Me in 1972, prompting Atlantic Records to release it as a single. To Robertas credit, she insisted that she be allowed to sing it at the originally intended slow tempo. The album won the Grammy for Record of the Year in 1972.

Other classic Roberta Flack songs include: Killing Me Softly (Grammys for Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal- Female 1973), Where is The Love (Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Duo with Donny Hathaway 1972), Feel Like Making Love, The Closer I Get To You, Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You and Set the Night to Music.

She remains an inspiration to her fans, peers and younger musicians. Roberta has appeared with soul artists like Alicia Keyes, India.Aria and Angie Stone. Its not surprising that Roberta was asked by VH1 to participate in 100 Greatest Love Songs and 100 Greatest Women of Rock & Roll.

Mark Juliano, Chief Operating Officer for Trump Entertainment is the Honorary Chair of the event and the Benefit Chairpersons are Mac and Kay Seelig, prominent business persons and community leaders.
